M. LAVINE DESIGN WORKSHOP LAUNCHES WEBSITE THAT SPEEDS COMMUNICATION AND SHORTENS LEAD TIMES
posted 10-11-07 at 11am

M. Lavine Design Workshop launched an updated web site that speeds communication with clients, improves accuracy, and shortens client lead times. The secure and confidential client log-in area allows staff and clients to post and approve new designs, drawing revisions, assembly prints, instructions, and photos of finished work. This speeds the process of sharing important information, surpassing even traditional e-mail and fax communication. “We realize the value in creating this collaborative workspace for our clients,” said M. Lavine Design Workshop CEO Jackie Teigen Bach.

“In our time-sensitive industry, improved and more frequent communication during the design and manufacturing stages is essential to shorten lead times and exceed our clients’ expectations,” continued Bach. M. Lavine Design Workshop has added a high-powered search engine to allow clients and prospective clients to search a database of hundreds of photos from past projects. “This function allows our clients and prospective clients to not only view our wide range of capabilities, but also to seek inspiration and gain new ideas for upcoming projects,” said Bach.

M. Lavine Design Workshop, located in Waite Park, MN, is a custom retail design and fixture manufacturing company that works with a variety of materials including wood, acrylic, glass, metal and various composites, fusing them into one of a kind pieces that are relevant, sensational and functional. Clients include single store specialty retailers and large specialty retail chains located throughout the United States.

M. Lavine Design Workshop ranked 4,406 on Inc.’s first-ever list of the 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the country. The Inc. 5,000, an extension of Inc. magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list, catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as a host of smaller firms. The 2007 Inc. 5,000 reported median revenue of $9.4 million and median three-year growth of 140%.  Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U.S. economy. “The Inc. 5,000 provides the most comprehensive look ever at the most important part of the economy – the entrepreneurial part,” said Inc. 5,000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. “The expansion of the list has allowed us to tell the stories of larger companies, older companies, and a wealth of companies in industries like Manufacturing and Construction that are underreported in the business media,” continued Melloan.

“Our three-year 47% sales growth from 2003 to 2006 secured our place on the inaugural Inc. 5000 list,” said M. Lavine Design Workshop CEO Jackie Teigen Bach. “We are excited to be one of only three companies in central Minnesota named to the list and one of only 116 companies in the state,” continued Bach.
